Why review an album released on the beauty of 15 years ago? Perhaps because for some 'time in this part I identify with this disc. More than a review is a tribute to this album, which few people had the courage to appreciate. A simple collection of b-sides of nirvana is usually just a huge gem that every fan should have, and instead is something more for me. When I listen I think of us played. I mean, maybe ... but in a sense the last of our songs have something familiar with this album. I do not know, is my impression. The sound is punkeggiante, visceral. "Incesticide". Incesticide, incest or murder. Translated, unlawful destruction of the relationship between past and present.
addition to pieces of the very first Nirvana, dating back to 1988, such as "Aero Zeppelin" "Downer", "Hairspray Queen", "Mexican Seafood", which show a rhythm section at times dizzying, from pogo pure, underpinned by a distorted electric guitar to the limit, there are three covers (two of Vasellines - "Molly's Lips" and "Son Of A Gun" - and one of Devo - "Turnaround") and many of the previously released tracks with several singles and EP ("Dive," "Sliver," "Stain," "Beeswax", "Been A Son" "Aneurysm"). The only unknown is the thrilling "Big Long Now" and a rendition of "Polly" distorted in a punk style. I had nirvana confessed to having suffered the influence of hairspray queen gang of four (erik? you Ricordi anyone?)
... I think it is a noise album. Maybe just for being harsh, raw, raw ...
I recommend it to all those who have never heard, but also to the Board at Olympian's hear it, only and only to understand the path we are on the noise made him ... also nirvana casserole ...
